Weird Tales Graphic Novel!
KICKSTARTER ALMOST OVER!
I’m helping Weird Tales Magazine and Monstrous put out its first ever Weird Tales Graphic Novel, adapting many classic stories from it’s 100+ year history of publishing the most influential horror, science fiction, and fantasy!
I’ll be coloring most of the 200 page comic while Illustrating two of the stories.
Weird Tales is a pioneering American pulp magazine founded in late 1922 (first issue March 1923) that served as the foundational venue for modern horror, fantasy, and weird fiction. It is best known for publishing H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos, Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian, Solomon Kane, as well as Seabury Quinn’s occult detective Jules de Grandin, C.L. Moore’s Northwest Smith.. and many others. Weird Tales is considered the most influential fantasy and horror magazine in history, laying the groundwork for the modern horror, fantasy, and comic genres.
Here’s the Kelley Jones Kickstarter exclusive cover, featuring my colors and some design (went with a Tales from the Crypt homage)
I Illustrated the covers of the smaller floppies that will each be collecting two of the newer stories from the greater anthology
Also sketch cards, shirts, stickers, and coin designed by me
CAMPAIGN ENDS SOON SO CHECK IT OUT!
Thanks so much!
